PROMOTING AUDIOVISUAL CULTURE SINCE 2008

Kino Kaiku is a club of audiovisual arts organised in downtown Helsinki at cultural center Caisa (address Mikonkatu 17c, Fennia block). Nowadays club meetings take place once a month, on Thursday at 6pm. All events are free of charge. In the past Kino Kaiku was organised at the City of Helsinki Cultural Centre Malmitalo.

Our programme consists on screenings of movies and videoart, combined with lectures and discussions. We screen classics, art-house, indie and experimental titles in both digital and film formats (16mm).

AAVE FESTIVAL

In 2010 we founded the international festival AAVE – Alternative AudioVisual Event. Its mission is to represent, promote and showcase different forms of audiovisual arts and therefore rejoin different genres and audiences. AAVE is not a mere film or media art festival but it aims at opening the gates into the vast world of moving image.
